I'm Emma Peterson, an analyst who finds the signal in messy, scattered data and turns it into something a business can act on. I work in the space where data analysis, market research, and strategy overlap.
I'm a researcher and analyst who turns scattered data into decisions. My foundation is a psychology degree (Brandeis University, magna cum laude), where I learned to design studies and test what's actually significant — paired with hands-on market research at Beta Hat, where I built multi-language surveys and analyzed roughly 10,000 responses into insights clients could act on.
As a Product Operations Associate at Really Global, I translate business requirements into working prototypes and the documentation that keeps a fast-moving startup aligned. Along the way I've audited brands, built lead-generation databases, and — when the dataset I needed didn't exist — written the code to go build it myself.
I'm Google-certified in Data Analytics and a Google Cloud Generative AI Leader, and I work fluently across Python, SQL, and Tableau. What ties it all together is a simple instinct: every business question is a puzzle, and the answer is usually hiding in data nobody has bothered to organize yet.
Outside of work I'm a lifelong reader (every book I've finished since 2017 is logged and tracked — yes, in a spreadsheet), a writer building out a decade-long world-building project, and a photographer. The creative side sharpens how I tell stories with data.

Ran qualitative research end to end — screening participants, conducting interviews, and building the tools that capture the right input.

Have a messy data problem, a market you need to understand, or a question you can't quite answer with the data you have?
That's my favorite kind of conversation.
Send me a note and I'll get back to you.
