"My whole life I have been a book worm. My childhood was filled with flashlights under the covers, desperate for one last chapter. As I aged I realized that love would never fade, just evolve. So I began keeping track of each book I read on assorted apps. One day I discovered Google Sheets and my obsession grew from there. Every book I've read since 2017 has been meticulously logged and tracked.
I learned how to code and scrape websites so that my list could automatically update. For years I would sit down for hours a week to update my to read list and assorted important data, such as amazon rating, price, amount of reviews, etc. That monotonous task drove me to innovate and change. I learned how to use Tableau (a data visualization tool) to track the patterns in my reading habits. Many things can foster my passion but no matter how many times the seasons change, I will always return to my love of reading."
Bridging the realms of analytical insight and creative expression, my journey as a writer and storyteller is a testament to the power of passion. My love for storytelling is deeply rooted in my voracious reading habits. This analytical approach has not only broadened my literary horizons but has also fueled my own creative endeavors, particularly in the realm of world-building.
For over a decade, I have been crafting and refining a rich, immersive universe that began with a simple hand-drawn map. This world has evolved into a sprawling narrative tapestry, detailed across more than 100 pages of notes, character profiles, and plot outlines. With a heavily emphasis on accuracy, I have spent countless hours researching topics; from string theory to duplicate vocal cords. From hastily scribbled notes on scraps of paper to colorful post-it-filled notebooks brimming with ideas, every concept has been captured, explored, and developed.
This journey from data analysis to world creation reflects my skills as both a reader and a writer. It demonstrates how analytical thinking can enrich the creative process, resulting in stories that are both thoughtfully constructed and imaginatively compelling.
Since first writing a flowery and extensive thank you note at age three, I've spent two decades honing my creative writing craft. My dedication has earned me several awards, recognizing my creative approach to analysis and poetry. This journey reflects my commitment to the limitless potential of storytelling.
For the last decade I have been working on a world that has gone through many iterations. My journey began with a simple hand-drawn map and a scene I created 10 years ago, which ignited my passion for this world and the story it had to tell.
Later, in high school, I penned the first few chapters of what would become my magnum opus. Like many young writers, I poured my heart and imagination onto the page, creating a world that would captivate me for years to come.
In this image, you can see the physical evolution of my story. These rough drafts bear the marks of my creative process. The handwritten comments in the margins are invaluable feedback from mentors who guided me along my writing journey.
In this image, you'll see a glimpse into the raw, unfiltered beginnings of my story intensifying. These scraps of paper and post-it notes, hastily scribbled with fragments of ideas, serve as a reminder that inspiration can strike anywhere, at any time.
As a writer, I've learned the value of capturing ideas as soon as they arise. Whether I'm out for a walk, sitting in a café, or in the middle of a busy day, I always make sure to jot down any intriguing thoughts or concepts that cross my mind.
In this image, you'll see the heart of my current brainstorming process. The notebook pages are adorned with an array of colorful post-it notes, each one containing a different idea or concept. Once I've explored the potential of each concept, I type them up in master document. As of now, the document has already surpassed 70 pages, a testament to the richness and depth of the concepts generated during the brainstorming phase.
